Individuals

Our current customers are mostly individuals. We call them Green Innovators. People who like to try new things and who want to leave the world more beautiful for their children and grandchildren. People who think we should get rid of fossil fuels, who see that the energy grid is overloaded and the energy transition is going too slowly. Because the Borg is also just good for your wallet, we are seeing growing interest in this private market.

Housing corporations

Fortunately, several housing corporations have already come forward who want to give concrete substance to the themes of sustainability, innovation and energy storage. In new construction, but also in large renovation and sustainability projects, underground thermal storage is an interesting investment.

Interesting because it contributes to a future-proof improvement of your housing stock, but certainly also because in a very practical way it reduces energy poverty. Tenants can save significantly on their heating costs. So the knife cuts both ways.

So housing associations seem to be the first institutional parties to embrace the Borg, based on their social role. There are corporations looking to install some Borg systems to compare various storage systems over the next few years. Other housing associations are preparing plans to incorporate the Borg into larger new construction or renovation projects. The economies of scale of project placement, of course, make the Borg even more interesting.

Project developers

Project developers do not have the same social role as a housing corporation. Nevertheless, the world of real estate and project development is also increasingly working on the basis of social commitment and sustainability. Regulations provide sustainable frameworks within which these parties must work, but aside from that, more and more developers are willing to go the extra mile.

And that makes sense, too. Our private customers, who are increasingly finding us and are clearly looking for good storage methods, are also the potential customers for developers. If your customers are asking for it, it would be strange not to include an energy or heat storage system in your projects.

Admittedly, in the Dutch BENG lists you can't properly put the Borg in right now. But we don't build just for the lists, do we? We are building for the future!

We have big plans. If it were up to us, 10 years from now we would no longer be able to imagine that thermal storage was not a standard feature of every new home. A no-brainer in our eyes today!
